Great Grandmother

This is a picture of my Great Grandmother on my mothers side.

Isabella Katherine Tressler...my great grandpa called her Katy. She died when I was 2 years old. But from what I have heard she was an amazing woman! I wish I could talk to her again...someday!

Lion King

The Lion King came to Anchorage, AK - can you believe it! I went last night with about 15 of my family members...Great-Nana, Nana, Aunts and Cousins. I wasn't looking forward to sitting for 3 hours and wasn't too sure what I got myself into. But the show was AMAZING!! The costumes, singing and dancing left me speechless! We had front row, floor tickets only 4-5 rows back from the stage! I would pay the money all over to see this show again. If it ever comes your way, regardless of the ticket prices - GO SEE IT!

It's Been Awhile...

Wow! It has been some time since I posted on this blog! Yikes – shows you how busy life gets. Most recently my house projects have been consuming my life. I decided it is time to tear up the carpets and put in the laminate flooring I have wanted for the past 3 years – well I didn’t just decide…I was wondering through Lowes like most of us homeowners do on our free time. (Since I bought my house I am addicted to Home Depot & Lowes, who woulda thought) Well I happen to see the flooring on sale for .70 cents a sq foot, and with my house being pretty small it was pretty cheap to do my floors. So the projects began…in the mist of putting the floors down Daniel decided he would just buy me new trim for my house instead of using the old nasty brown stuff. So that turned into another project. Sooo we finally got the floors finished (they look great) and now working on the trim. It is all coming together *very* well I love it…makes my lil house all that cozier! It is quite entertaining to see my 106lb American Bull Dog try to run on the floor…and watching Pita slide across the living room like a mop!! Awww the joys of our pets. (Don't mind the mess in the house)

So between work and the house projects nothing new is going on. Daniel and I are heading to Kodiak October 1st, I will be coming home on the 5th by myself. He will be staying and leaving to St.Paul on the boat. It is time to go Red Crab fishing. The boys will be out in the Bering Sea...out towards St.Paul Island...
He should be gone until about Mid-November. Good news – he will be home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. That makes me happy.

Godmother

So my Aunt & Uncle called me and asked me if I would be the Godmother to my little cousin Miles Glen Tressler. Oh gosh - was I ever excited to say YES OF COURSE!! He is too damn precious. We are having the baptism on Easter Sunday.

Look out Hawaii - here I come

Honolulu here I come...
We leave to Hawaii next Friday - I'm am so super duper excited. I can't wait to be laying on the beach without a worry in the world. Things at home have been kind of hard latley. Not that things are bad, just overwhelmig. I loved Erins blog about feeling lost and maybe our lives should have road signs. *sigh* wouldn't that be nice.
There are just trying times in life that you aren't sure if things are what you really want. It goes for everything - relationships, work, place you live...everything! It all passes - and gets better. I just can't wait to get to the beach and forget all my worries and have the time of my life.
We are planning on going to Peral Harbor, Honolulu Zoo, surfing, maybe some exotic fishing - like Shark Fishing! Yikes! I'm sure I will be posting tons of pictures on here whene we get home!

Lucky?

Lucky?
I'm getting something from Erin and you can get something from me! Here's the scoop. The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!2- What I create will be just for you.3- It’ll be done this year.4- You have no clue what it’s going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! If you don't have a blog.... uh, we can work something out. We can post pictures here or something. Or, you could start a blog! Blogs rule (the world!) Bloggers of the world unite! Also, if you’re already getting something from somebody else’s blog, please give someone else a turn! Thanks!
